A Prayer to Overcome Fear

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, acknowledging the fear that tries to take hold of my heart. Lord, You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). I surrender my fears to You, knowing that You are my refuge and strength, a present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Jesus, just as You calmed the storm for the disciples, I ask You to calm the storms in my heart. When I feel afraid, remind me that You are always with me and that I am never alone (Isaiah 41:10). Strengthen my faith to walk boldly, trusting in Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You, like Peter walking on water, and not be overwhelmed by the waves of life. When fear tries to creep in, fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

Thank You, Lord, for being my protector, my guide, and my source of courage. I choose to trust You and walk in faith, knowing that You hold my future in Your hands.

In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.
